A name always seems to be a good place to start when introducing oneself, so let's do that by letting you know mine is Patrick Bos. I was born February 27th of 1986 in a Dutch town called Emmer-Compascuum. I'm the oldest of four, the other three being a sister and two brothers.
As a boy I grew up in my birth town, while later on I went to highschool in the nearest city (Emmen). There I got to know some of the friends I still hang out with to this day, while completing my VWO course.
Today I'm a student at the University of Groningen where I study astronomy and a bit of philosophy. At this moment my main interest is in astronomy; I even catch myself dreaming of an astronomical career at times. Philosophy is a lot of fun though and I hope to be able to do something with that as well.
In my (scarce) spare time I like to fiddle around with my computers (laptop and server), trying to get the most out of them using a free operating system called Linux. When I'm feeling really adventurous I try to brush up on my musical skills by playing the guitar or by just listening to good music.
